IMMIGRATION LAWYERSThe British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a Canadian immigration program administered by the government of British Columbia (B.C.) in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), the federal government department responsible for immigration to Canada. The BC PNP collaborates with the federal government to facilitate immigration to B.C. through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Additionally, the BC PNP assists B.C. employers in addressing labor shortages by enabling them to hire foreign workers.
There are 6 programs managed through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP):
- Skilled Worker
- Health Authority
- Entry Level & Semi-Skilled
- International Graduate
- International Post-graduate
- BC PNP Tech
Eligibility:
Skilled Worker
To apply under this program, you must have a full-time, permanent job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) in British Columbia. You should be qualified to perform all job duties. Additionally, you need a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent work experience in a skilled occupation. Legal immigration status in Canada is mandatory, and for NOC TEER 2 and 3, you must have a minimum of CLB 5 in IELTS or CELPIP. Adequate funds to support yourself and your dependents are required. If applying through the Express Entry BC PNP program, you need a valid profile in Express Entry with an application number and job seeker code.
Health Authority
This category requires a full-time, permanent job offer as a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Midwife in British Columbia. Legal immigration status in Canada is mandatory, and you need to have a minimum CLB 5 in IELTS or CELPIP. Sufficient funds to support yourself and your dependents are needed. To apply through the Express Entry BC PNP program, a valid profile in Express Entry with an application number and job seeker code is necessary.
Entry Level & Semi-Skilled
To qualify for this category, you must have a full-time, permanent job offer in the Tourism/Hospitality or Food Processing Sector in British Columbia. Your occupation should fall under NOC TEER 4 or 5. You need to have a continuous job of at least 9 months before applying. Legal immigration status in Canada is compulsory, and a minimum CLB 5 in IELTS or CELPIP is required. Sufficient funds to support yourself and your dependents are essential.
International Graduate
This program is open to applicants who have graduated in Canada within the last three years. A full-time job offer in NOC TEER 1, 2, or 3 is mandatory, and NOC TEER 0 is not eligible under this stream. Legal immigration status in Canada is compulsory, and a minimum CLB 5 in IELTS or CELPIP is required. Adequate funds to support yourself and your dependents are necessary.
International Post-Graduate
If you have recently completed a Master's or Ph.D. from an eligible British Columbia institute, you may be eligible for this program. No job offer from an employer is needed under this stream. Legal immigration status in Canada is mandatory.
BC PNP Tech
This program requires you to meet the general requirements of a Skilled Worker (including the Express Entry BC PNP program) and International Graduate (including the Express Entry BC PNP program).
