The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) facilitates the immigration of skilled workers and their families to Canada's Atlantic provinces. It's a collaborative effort involving the Canadian federal government, the Atlantic provinces (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island), and regional employers. This program empowers employers in the Atlantic region to hire qualified candidates for positions they haven't been able to fill locally.

There are three immigration programs administered under AIPP:

Atlantic International Graduate Program

Atlantic High Skilled Worker Program

Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Worker Program.

To apply for immigration to Canada through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, you'll first need an Endorsement Letter from one of the Atlantic Provinces. Here are the program's requirements:

You must have lived in an Atlantic province for at least 16 months in the two years preceding the completion of your diploma.

Possess a minimum of a two-year diploma/degree or a trade/apprenticeship qualification from an institution in the Atlantic Provinces.

Hold a full-time job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC Tier 0, 1, 2, or 3) within an Atlantic province.

Have graduated within 24 months of your application.

Studied or worked in Canada with a valid permit or visa.

Prior work experience is not mandatory.

A minimum CLB 4 score is required in IELTS.

For both the Atlantic High Skilled Worker and Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Worker programs, obtaining an Endorsement Letter from an Atlantic Province is the initial step. Here are the key requirements:

Worked in one occupation, which can involve different employers.

The job can be located either within or outside the AIPP provinces.

Education - secondary (high school) or post-secondary. If you have foreign education, you'll need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

Work experience as a registered nurse/psychiatric nurse (skill level A 3012) or experience as a licensed practical nurse (skill level B 3233).
